Committee on the Shelterless (COTS)

A powerful combination of nurturing and structure, COTS has helped thousands get back under a roof of their own. COTS provides almost 350 beds every night. Their Petaluma Kitchen serves over 124,000 meals a year and delivers over 750,000 pounds of food annually. And their award-winning programs have helped thousands to rebuild their lives.

Give Back Yoga Foundation

The Give Back Yoga Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports and funds certified yoga teachers to develop and “give back” yoga, in many different ways, to the under served and under resourced areas of their communities. It supported the Mindful Yoga Therapy pilot study with OEF/OIF Veterans at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven, CT. It also distributes empirically-informed, clinically-tested multi-media resources for Veterans.

Honoring the Path of the Warrior

Honoring the Path of the Warrior is a program fiscally sponsored by the San Francisco Zen Center, that has assisted hundreds of post-9/11 and Persian Gulf veterans in making a positive transition from military to civilian life since 2007. Our retreats and one-day programs combine nature, engaging physical activities, meditation, Sensory Awareness and mindfulness practices. Our intent is to provide veterans with connection, community and tools that support them in using their strengths and experiences to find a meaningful and productive path in civilian life.

Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), founded in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research, education, and membership organization whose mission is supporting individual and collective transformation through consciousness research, educational outreach, and engaging a global learning community in the realization of our human potential. “Noetic” comes from the Greek word nous, which means “intuitive mind” or “inner knowing.” IONS conducts, sponsors, and collaborates on leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness, exploring phenomena that do not necessarily fit conventional scientific models while maintaining a commitment to scientific rigor.

International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)

IAYT supports research and education in Yoga and serves as a professional organization for Yoga teachers and Yoga therapists worldwide.  Their mission is to establish Yoga as a recognized and respected therapy.

N Street Village empowers homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life by offering a broad spectrum of services and advocacy in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. The Village also provides affordable rental housing for low and moderate-income individuals and families.

The Baumann Foundation

The Baumann Foundation is a San Francisco-based think-tank that explores the experience of being human in the context of cognitive science, evolutionary theory and philosophy to foster greater clarity about the human condition. The foundation is focused on the exploration of subjects such as perception, cognitive biases, mental representation, mindfulness, attention, dynamics of self-identification and how these relate to and inform conscious experience.

The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP)

The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology is a private, non-sectarian graduate school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
