Retreat at Kripalu with Richard Miller PhD (Stockbridge, MA)
The Transformative Power of Being
The Nondual Yoga of Delight, Wonder, and Astonishment
September 26—October 1, 2010 Sunday—Friday
with Richard Miller
“An encounter with meditation teacher Richard Miller is an encounter you do not forget. Richard is one of this generation’s most important teachers of nondual wisdom. He reminds us that in our true nature we are already free, enlightened, and awake, and that in any moment we can savor Divine presence.” —Stephen Cope
Peace arrives when we cease trying to make this moment different and instead, live deeply, directly, and simply from what we are—the Mystery of pure Being. Living as Being we realize that it is the Mystery and not the ego-mind that is the real power that transforms our actions, our relationships, and the world around us.
Join Richard as he shares the path and teachings of Nondual Yoga that reveal our fundamental nature as the Mystery of pure Being. Here we realize our innate and ever-present well-being and compassionate loving kindness that informs and transforms every moment of our daily life. While the Mystery of Being can never be objectified, it can be experientially realized and embodied into all our relationships. This is the realization of Nondual Tantric Yoga. This is the path of delight, wonder, and astonishment.
Nondual Yoga teaches us how to meet, greet, and welcome all that we are—body, senses, mind, and emotions—as movements unfolding in the Mystery of Being. Welcoming frees our attention, which is then available to investigate the nature of the Mystery itself. Here, conceptual understanding gives way to heart-felt knowing, and our identification as a separate perceiver dissolves into realizing ourself as the timeless Mystery of Being, which is the real power that transforms our self, our relationships, and every aspect of our daily life.
During retreat we engage the timeless teachings of Nondual Yoga through periods of silent and guided meditation, gentle bodysensing hatha and breathsensing prana yoga, co-meditation, interactive dialogue, and pointing-out instruction. These perennial teachings deepen relaxation, free attention, and reveal our nondual Presence as the Mystery of pure Being. Only when we are willing to be and live as the Mystery will we, and the world be at peace.
“Richard’s teachings are like being handed a "hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry—slowly enjoying every spoonful and finding God at the bottom of the bowl" —Michael Fraser
