Rewiring your Brain - The Neuroscience of Unconditional Peace Workshop with Richard Miller

May 25, 2017 at the Yoga for Peace Symposium at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas

Join Richard Miller for this workshop at the 10th Annual Yoga for Peace Symposium. Learn the latest neuroscience informing our understanding of meditation - how this ancient practice transforms your nervous system, biochemistry, and DNA. We'll review mindfulness practices to help you:

  • Release negative emotions and thought patterns
  • Calm your nervous system
  • Build resiliency, reduce stress, and enhance well-being
  • Develop your capacity to effectively respond to life's challenging circumstances
  • Use research-proven tools & resources to assist you, your peers, family, and community

The May 22-26 Yoga for Peace Symposium: Changing the World from the Inside Out features keynote presentations, workshops, lectures, and discussions. Swami Vishnudevananda firmly believed the only way to manifest positive change in the material world was to first cultivate our own inner peace. This week we celebrate Swami Vishnu’s lifelong mission of bringing peace to humanity. During this symposium we'll uncover the ways yoga has integrated into our culture and explore the implications and results. We'll approach this from historical, spiritual, cultural, & therapeutic perspectives by weaving together various stories of individual & societal transformation which have arisen through yoga. How do these physical & meditative practices and the search for God-realization transform us?  If we are transformed how do we become vessels to channel this higher state of awareness to make a better world?

At the event Richard will also be teaching the Unconditional Peace is Just a Breath Away workshop on May 26.
