A highly skilled and experienced integrative yoga therapist, Lee Elizabeth Monozon has followed a path of integrating yoga’s therapeutic benefits with western medicine to offer clients a more tailored approach to an overall holistic wellness program.

Lee has pursued extensive education in various forms of yoga which have provided a strong basis for her yoga practice and teaching. Coupled with her work in yoga therapy and healing, Lee offers a unique and powerful approach to providing therapeutic support on a physical, mental and emotional level to her clients.

Passionate about learning, Lee has earned certifications in such varied areas of studies as Integrative Yoga Therapy; Yoga Therapy for Cancer and Chronic Illness; Personal Training Cancer Patients and Survivors; Hormone Yoga Therapy for Women; Prenatal Yoga Teaching; and iRest®-Yoga Nidra Advanced Teachings. She has advanced specialized training in working with military and combat trauma. In addition, Lee is certified as a spiritual life coach.

While living in the Bay Area, Lee had the privilege to participate in the Integrative Medical Professionals and Certified Trainers (IMPACT) program as a yoga therapist. A 2004 pilot program led by University of California San Francisco’s Medical Oncologist Garret Smith M.D. and in conjuncture with San Francisco Bay Club, IMPACT sought to bring yoga, personal training, nutrition and wellness counseling to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients as part of an integrative approach to treatment.

Since 1997, Lee has worked as a yoga instructor and yoga therapist at Western Athletic Clubs’ facilities, specifically at the San Francisco Bay Club in San Francisco, CA and most recently at the Pacific Athletic Club in San Diego, CA. She has developed and taught classes for students of all levels, and created and led therapeutic classes for students with special needs and focuses, including prenatal classes, yoga for athletes and yoga therapy for breast cancer patients. Since May 2008, Lee has also taught at Yoga Del Mar in Del Mar, California where she has led classes for beginning and intermediate students. Lee has experience in teaching many different individual, group and corporate settings.

Clarity Wellness and Yoga Therapy (CWYT) is the culmination of Lee’s extensive work in yoga therapy. Her passion for health and integrating the therapeutic benefits of yoga therapies with other healing modalities as an adjunct to Western medicine are the cornerstones of CWYT. Lee offers an integrative approach to healing, using her training and tailoring it to the wants and needs of the individual.

Adopting the model for new medicine created by Dr. James S. Gordon, a Harvard-educated psychiatrist and one of the world's leading experts in mind-body medicine, Lee treats individuals seeking a more integrated health and wellness regime. She also works with physicians and other health care professionals as part of the integrative health care team for their patients.
